Today I really realized how the Lord uses small things and funny situations for His glory. I noticed the friendliness of the German people and how eager they are to ask about America. Even though we didn't get to talk on a spiritual level with anyone i beleive we sowed seeds adn our prayers were heard. God is an amazing God!

It rained most of the time we were at our park. The guys were in the cafe for a while as were a couple fo the girls. Four of us got to talk to a Jewish guy today. Keep praying for us. God has taught me a lot this week about obedience and how to do relational evangelism.

Today it rained pretty hard the whole time but Father is awesome and let us talk to this one guy and we had a great convo. He was born in Boston, but grew up in Germany. He was also a soldier. We talked about world views, differences in culture, a bit of politics and religion. He use to be a practicing Jew, but has not beed practicing anymore. Paul is also my new hero. From the beginning he knew he was meant to suffer in order to spread the name of Christ and found Joy in that. What do I find joy in?

Today was the last day in the park:( It rained all day. But God did some amazing things. We talked to a Jewish guy from New York. A, M, and I were looking for a dry place to sit and talk and we ended up in a bathroom. While we were in there talking, the owner came in there and thought that we were smoking. When we tlod him we weren't, he invited us to drink hot chocolate. It was awesome!

Today God showed up in an amazing way. I prayer walked all day in the wind and rain. I was able to have a deep conversation with my trek guys and they helped, along with God, figure out that I need to completely hand over my life. today me and my friend went walking again. since our other friendfs that we have been hanging out with could not show up today, but were still hanging out with them on shopping day instead. and so while we were walking we were just about to go to the bathroom and said hi to everyone that went by and this one guy stopped and talked to us for 20 min. when we met him he was just about to get on a bus then we also tried to talk to this lady. we were walking and started to sing this song that was in our head, and she pulled us over asking us question. we had a language problem. but we still got to pr with her. and we talked for about an hour.

Today Father showed me that although the people in Cologne are very different, they are still people who need to be touched by the Spirit. The day went awesome and I think it opened a lot of our eyes to the diversity that surrounds this city. Father has showed me one of the first things to add to my prayer list and that is unifying the people through Christ because nothing could be more important than that.

Today at around 10:30am we got to Cologne with about one hour of sleep because of the seven hour time difference. We were sent on a trip to find Starbucks. On this trip I saw a lot of sights and got really great pictures. I discovred I love the culture and besides the language Germany is a lot like America. Now that a lot of my sightseeing is done I can focus on planting a seed of the gospel in people I meet.

Well today was the best day so far. SC lasted like 2 hours, and our trek group has really grown close. So today LA and I got to talk with a really nice older women who is a teacher, we have an appointment to meet her again. We talked to them all day, and presented the gospel to them and gave one a German Bible, they loved us! We hoped to see them again!

Let's see, today we toured the city, and we ate Turkish food and did a scavenger hunt to get to know the city better. I really like it here. They have all these bahns (trains) to help you move from one place to another and that is really interesting. Bye for now.

The flight here was really long and I only got like and hour and a half of sleep. Even though I was a little tired we went all over the city. I think it is so pretty! We learned how to get around on the trains, ate dover (it was lamb and is like a pita! YUM!), and also got some amazing ice cream called eis! So far everything is great! Love ya!

Dear reader, a Japanese sub slammed two torpedoes into our side chief. Vessel went down in 12 minutes. Didn’t see the first shark for about half an hour, tiger, thirteen footer. We formed ourselves into tight groups like you see on a calendar…You know in that first down, lost a hundred men? I don’t know how many sharks, average about 6 an hour. A few days later a big fat PBY came down to pick us up, it was a young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper. And that was the time I was most frightened, waiting for my turn…I’ll never put on a lifejacket again, so 1100 men went into the water, 316 came out, sharks took the rest, June 19, 1945. P.S. Today was an amazing day. I’m almost home. David Bowie would be proud.

Today was the best so far. Started off slow. The man we were supposed to meet at 15:00 didn’t show, so we left. We walked around and I found some kids coloring so I sat down and colored with them. Their mom came up and I talked to her. Then we met some kids we met yesterday. Pray that our free day tomorrow won’t be about us. That we will continue in our work for the Lord.

Today was awesome. We prayed that someone could reach the people who play basketball, and he used us. Then he used us to talk about religion to the two men we were playing with.

Today was amazing. We met up with N and P. They bought me and KP cards and wrote us some German words but we don’t know what it means. God really answered all of our prayers! We gave them German translated Bibles and some American money and I gave N a cross necklace and we asked them if they knew what it meant to be saved. And they said Yes! I feel good about this whole week and I want to thank God and everyone for the support.

Today was by far to best day here for me in Koln. K and I got to exchange a lot of info with N and P. And they are Catholic, which in a way is a plus. We gave them Christian books in German and they were really excited to get them! Pray for them!

I think because I had made my own plans about how I will share my faith and how I make an impact here but God totally woke me up and His plan for me was completely different and unexpected than what I thought. It was cold today. we had a 4th of july celebration with the m and his family and their house church. it was pretty neat. we had alot of fun today. i pr walked with the JSI then stopped to read scripture and traded partners. we read a lot of scripture together also. we met a little boy and played soccer. it was so much fun. were hanging out in the bistro tonight. i'm so excited!

Dear Reader, Today was an amazing day. We got to talk to many a native people. This was such a spur of the moment day! It paralleled the time when David Bowie and Queen collaborated together and wrote the song Under Pressure! Currently I am at a cook out at an apartment complex in downtown Koeln, its a perfect way to spend the 4th of July. I can only imagine things back home are sunny and all are preparing for celebration no doubt. Other people need my pen so I'm out.
p.s. my roommates are very smart and offer very interesting insights on everything from psychologically analyzing me to nuclear war.

I'm in Germany. And i have been awake for 30 hours. I'm going on no sleep. But that's not important, what is important is that you pray for what God is going to do this week. I feel a lot like DB during his stay in Germany while he re-toned his sound. We are all tired and a bit restless. But we are being pushed to do our best. Today we went walking around Koeln! It was awesome seeing all the different cultures and hearing the new languages. I can't wait to talk to the Germans, in German! Today was cool. Again we prayer walked. I met a German boy named C. He is on his senior trip and staying at the hostel. I ask that you keep his mother in prayer because she is sick. He reads his bible some and attends Baptist Church 1 time a month. He is cool but I will work on him. Just keep him in your prayers. SC was cool we are reading through acts. I ask that you just keep us in your prayers.

I’m really startin to get the hang of the German attitude. We found out that if you sit down more people communicate with you. Plus, we walk a lot and sitting is good. I’m having fun and feel fine so no need to worry.

Today was pring. We pr walked for around 3 hours total today. It was tiring but surprisingly easy. I was thrown off of a merry-go-round type thing. did so much walking and saw where we'd be for the rest of the week. Pr for our feet as they get tired. Today we met our park! WE pr waled and I pred alot! It was very new to me to pr for 45 min at a time but God put the words in month, "suprising I ran out!" I ordered "pepperoni" pizza and it was something very different! But I ate it! I gotta work on not being so LOUD! But today was a blast! I'm ready to have a German conversation.

Guten Tag! Today we went to a pizza/doner place to eat supper. Me, T, V, and J got 'pepperoni pizza' well when we got it it was real peppers. Not mild peppers, hot peppers. It was a great experience.

Dear Reader(S), After about 12 hourse of slepeing I aweoke to a beautiful cloudy day in Koln. We pred for about 4 hours today and it was stimulating. I can't help but feel like Kraftwerk, the fathers of modern techno, after metting with David Bowie then mentioning him in their song Trans-Europe-Express. I have a good feeling about things this week. I had a Turkish mit Doner. The food over here is great. I love the city. Can't wait to be used by God here. I believe that.
